With higher gasoline prices I believe that compact cars are not only going to be targeted toward women, but to everyone. We will need to sacrifice size and comfort for economy. The Fiats, Renaults and VWs are the common cars of Europe for whole families, not just women.
On a regular day - women go to 3 or 4 places - schools, grocery stores, work, day care, park, etc. Technically a compact car will be better for all this in and out - easy to use, easy to park, less gas, hopefully less maintenance. HOWEVER - with all this driving - is it really worth it to sacrifice comfort? I don't think so! There are great cars out there: comfortable, fuel efficient, and nice sized... a few come to mind: Camry, Accord...
I would love to get my hand on one of these babies. The first thing I thought about after watching this clip was no more far away parking spaces. I will tour parking lots forever to find a close parking space. It would be a life saver if I could click a button and throw my vehicle in my purse!!
The first thing I thought was 'how cute,'another compact product(marketing strategy) to make multitasking more efficient for women, just like quick meals, fast foods, and compact make-up. After I smiled and laughed, I thought, it will surve its purpose as gas prices rise. Then as the economy readjusts who knows if size and comfort will be a viable sacrifice. We need big closets, big pantries and so forth.

I believe everyone who looks for Compact Car in this economy is mostly targeted on high mileage in gas, regardless woman or man.
