Biodiesel BMW
Here is the story of a guy who converted an old BMW 318i to a BMW 24td engine running on Biodiesel. Took the guy 20 months. The car gets over 50 mpg, but he has more work to do.

I watched a show on the Discovery Channel about converting grease from restaurants into Biodiesel. The equipment to do this is expensive, and the process is time consuming. However, if more peole start doing this and the trend catches on, it would be a great answer to problems facing today's economy.
