Ethanol Production Compromizes Air Quality

According to EPA records, some air quality standards are planned to be compromised in an effort to get ethanol plant production underway. I've already said I'm uncertain about the benefits of ethanol given the reduced fuel economy. The primary concern is for residents near the plants, who are already calling the EPA and trying to get the standards re-tightened.

I'm all for reducing our dependence on foreign oil, but the compromises continue to rack up.
